Baking For Health was founded in 2025 to promote awareness of healthy nutrition, and to give people the skills and confidence to bake wholesome bread at home, away from the processed loaves on the supermarket shelf.
Roy's path to bread began with nutrition. In 2007 he discovered just how deeply what we eat shapes how we feel, went on to earn a degree in Clinical Nutrition with distinction, and spent years guiding others toward sustainable, healthier ways of living.
Baking came later, and not easily. Roy loved to cook, but the precision that traditional baking demands never appealed to him, until professional training changed his mind completely. He completed two professional courses in home-style bread baking over six months at culinary school, then baked hundreds of loaves before he felt ready to teach a single class.
Today Roy runs small, hands-on workshops where everyone gets real attention, the kind of guidance that turns an intimidating technique into something you can genuinely do at home. He believes great bread doesn't have to be complicated, and there's nothing he enjoys more than the moment it finally clicks for someone.
Every workshop is built around tools found in almost any kitchen, so the skills you learn travel home with you, ready to bake for the people you love.
Four hands-on hours, a small group, and every loaf to take home.
